Venturing out for a leisurely lunch date, Katie Holmes was spotted at the popular Toscana restaurant in Brentwood, CA on Tuesday afternoon (April 3).
Dressed casually in a denim shirt and peach colored flare jeans to put a little spring color in her outfit, the 33-year-old had showed off an ear-to-ear grin as she exited the Italian eatery after chowing down with a few close friends.
The lunch outing comes just as Katie’s ex-fiance, Chris Klein, opened up during his “American Reunion” press efforts about his breakup with the former “Dawson’s Creek” actress.
Talking with People magazine, Klein told, “We found comfort in one another… We had a similar upbringing and we were going through the same experience (in Hollywood). As the teenage craze came to an end, we found that our relationship was changing as well. From my side there was a lot of denial and fear about the future. It ended as amicably as these things can end.”
The 33-year-old actor adds, “When we were breaking up, we kept it to ourselves for a while. It looked like it was Katie and Chris together and two seconds later Katie and Tom together, but that’s ridiculously compressed… Kate was incredibly respectful about the decision she was making to move on (with Cruise). She called and said, ‘Listen I want you to know before you see it anywhere else.’”
