A fresh faced Katherine Heigl was spotted making her way through the LAX terminal with husband Josh Kelley to catch a flight out of Los Angeles, California on Monday (April 9).
Looking comfortable for the travels, the “Life As We Know It” star wore black leggings, a black sweater and flats as she walked alongside her husband.
Recently, Miss Heigl opened up about how hard it was being a parent at first because the mother-daughter bond between herself and Naleigh wasn’t very strong after adopting her little girl from Korea in 2009, leaving Heigl feeling rejected.
During an interview with a German weekly newspaper, the 33-year-old revealed, “People are always talking about the strong bond between mother and daughter, this magical connection – but we didn’t have that”.
Talking about their relationship right after the adoption, Heigl says it was “the hardest time in my life. … I fought incredibly hard for my daughter to accept me as mother. Her rejection almost broke my heart.”
Not knowing what else to do, the blonde beauty focused on her work, which she admits “made the already difficult process of getting closer take even longer. … When I realized that, I immediately cut back on work” leading her to leave “Grey’s Anatomy”.
Thankfully, Katherine and her 4-year-old daughter are very close now, and she in no way intends to hide her daughters roots from her, saying, “I’d like to fly to South Korea with the family, to show her the country that she comes from.”
