LAKE BARINGO Kenya

Lake Baringo is part of the mighty 50 kilometre long Great Rift Valley that cuts through Kenya from north to south and its exceptional location helps to make it a valuable habitat for a great deal of plant and animal life. Many safari camps provide boat tours and a journey on the lake is an experience that should not be missed as it is the only realistic way to see the lake in all its splendor. The White Tailed Eagle is one of the region’s most beautiful and majestic birds and usually nests in the trees that are located close to the water. Even though the lake and surrounding landscape have not yet been officially designated as a national park, the scenery is still mostly untouched and most certainly worth a visit.

Mitt Romney Wants to Deport President Obama’s Uncle Omar

GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney says he would deport President Barack Obama’s uncle, who authorities say was arrested in August for DUI near Boston.

Onyango “Omar” Obama is, allegedly, an illegal immigrant.

In an interview with Boston radio host Howie Carr, Romney said “yes” when asked if “Uncle Omar” should be deported. Romney at first did not recognize the name, and was far from incendiary about it, saying simply that U.S. immigration laws should be enforced.

Take a listen to the exchange:

Onyango Obama is the 67-year-old half-brother of the commander-in-chief’s late father, Barack Obama, Sr. His case is pending in Framingham, Mass., District Court.

He was initially held without bail by immigration officials on allegations he violated an official order to return Kenya issued 20 years ago but has since been released.

Kesha Ni’cole Nichols and Kenya Bell: Cast on Basketball Wives!

The producers of Basketball Wives are doing more than re-signing Evelyn Lozada to up the ante for Season Four. There will be new cast members in the mix, as well.

Controversial ones at that.

Kenya Bell (below, right) will be joining the show this coming season, and has already “assumed the role of the villain” and gotten into a few fights with the girls.

Kesha Ni'cole Nichols and Kenya Bell

Bell is a former Miss Michigan USA who was arrested for allegedly trying to effing stab her husband, former Michigan State star Charlie Bell, with a box cutter.

Standard Basketball Wives procedure, really.

Interestingly, not only was Kenya with Charlie before he went pro, but she also has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA. So she’s not a gold digger?

Weird. The other new cast member is Kesha Ni’cole Nichols (above, left). She planned to wed NBA All-Star Richard Jefferson back in 2009, but he bailed last minute.

Almost literally. They were set to tie the knot in $2 million wedding, but Jefferson called a 20-second time out, breaking up with Kesha Ni’Cole via email.

Nichols talks openly about the wedding that wasn’t on the show and has, at least thus far, been well-liked by the rest of the cast. But just give it time.

Joe Jonas & Nina Dobrev: WE Day Duo

Joining forces during the north of the border event, Joe Jonas and Nina Dobrev were both on hand for 2011 WE Day in Toronto on Tuesday (September 27).

Having designed the shirt she was wearing while giving proceeds towards the feeding of children in Kenya, Nina said of the cause, “No one should go hungry because, quite frankly, hunger bites. And I’m not just saying that because I’m on a vampire show.”

During the course of the WE Day happenings, Miss Dobrev proudly introduced Jonas as he took the stage to treat the audience to a performance of his hit single “See No More”.

Kristen Bell’s Giraffe French Kiss

Never one to shy away from being herself, Kristen Bell revealed a story about her recent trip to Africa in which she french kissed a giraffe!

The “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” babe paid a visit to Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show” and told, “I stayed a day in Nairobi, Kenya, when I was there and they have this thing there called Giraffe Manor. Where the giraffes literally come up to the porch and interact with you.”

“And they don’t have front teeth so you don’t have to be scared of them. They’re not like a horse that could bite you. You can literally pay $10 and feed them these pellets. It’s so cool,” she continued.

“And if you are as weird as I am, you will be the one person putting the pellets in your mouth and letting the giraffes take them out of your mouth.”

“I was on cloud nine when I was doing this, it’s what I did for 45 minutes straight – french kissing this giraffe,” Kristen added with a laugh.
